Housing minister Clare O’Neil says the government is not considering changes to the capital gains tax discount “at the moment”.
O’Neil said there was nothing for the government to comment on amid growing speculation about potential changes to the capital gains tax discount.
Speaking to Sky News, she said no changes were being considered to tax or housing policy.
O’Neil said the government’s focus remained on increasing housing supply.
She said existing policy settings remained unchanged.
