Convicted gang rapist Mohammed Skaf has been arrested in Sydney and hit with nearly two dozen criminal charges following a police investigation into a large-scale drug supply network.
New South Wales police executed multiple search warrants in Sydney’s southwest overnight, targeting an alleged commercial drug syndicate operating in the region.
During the raids in Greenacre, police seized substantial quantities of prohibited substances, including cocaine. Officers also confiscated approximately $245,000 in cash, a vehicle, and various items allegedly linked to the illicit operation.
Two Dozen Charges Laid
Skaf, 42, faces a total of 24 criminal offences. The charges laid by NSW police include 22 counts of supplying a prohibited drug, one count of knowingly dealing with the proceeds of crime, and one count of knowingly directing the activities of a criminal group.
Following his arrest, Skaf was formally refused bail by police. He is scheduled to appear before the Bankstown Local Court later today.
Two other individuals—a man and a woman—were also arrested during the operation and are expected to face court alongside Skaf on Thursday for their alleged roles in the syndicate.
Criminal History
Skaf’s arrest follows his release from prison several years ago for high-profile crimes committed in 2000. He was convicted alongside his brother, Bilal Skaf, for his involvement in the gang rapes of at least six schoolgirls in Sydney.
Skaf served a 23-year prison sentence for those offences. He was granted parole in 2021 and officially completed his full sentence when his parole period expired in 2024.
Police confirmed that investigations into the alleged drug supply scheme remain ongoing.
