Hanson returns to Senate after suspension

One Nation leader Pauline Hanson has returned to the Senate after serving a seven sitting day suspension over her burqa protest.

Hanson missed additional sittings in January, including debates on hate speech and antisemitism legislation.

She returned to the chamber on Tuesday morning alongside her One Nation colleagues.

As they have done previously, Hanson and her party members turned their backs during the acknowledgment of country read by the Senate President.

Pauline Hanson has returned to the Senate after a suspension, renewing controversy while signalling openness to working with the Coalition to form government.

Hanson has also said she is open to working with the Liberals and Nationals to form a future government.

She told Sky News she would consider providing supply to the Coalition but ruled out formally joining either party in their current state.
