One Nation senator Pauline Hanson failed to declare another flight received from billionaire Gina Rinehart’s company, breaching parliamentary disclosure rules.
Pauline Hanson travelled on a private jet owned by Gina Rinehart’s company between Melbourne and Sydney in October last year.
Guardian Australia revealed the flight followed Hanson’s appearance at a private agricultural college in Geelong, where she attended the official opening of a new building partly funded by Rinehart.
Under parliamentary rules, senators must declare sponsored travel or hospitality valued above $300.
Hanson did not disclose the flight in her register of interests.
At a press conference in Adelaide on Tuesday, Hanson initially denied receiving any flights or transfers from Rinehart’s company in relation to the 19 October event.
When pressed again, she said she could not remember.
The flight was provided by Hancock Prospecting, Rinehart’s mining company.
