Opposition leader Angus Taylor says the Liberal Party should move beyond internal reflection following the release of its post-election review and focus on developing an action plan.
The review, which had originally been intended to remain confidential, was tabled in parliament by Prime Minister Anthony Albanese after it leaked to the media.
Speaking to reporters during a visit to a supermarket in Canberra, Taylor said the party’s federal executive should now outline concrete steps to respond to the issues identified since the election.
He said the party must transition from reviewing past mistakes to preparing a strategy for the future.
Taylor appeared alongside deputy opposition leader Jane Hume and shadow treasurer Tim Wilson during the visit.
The comments come as the Liberal Party continues internal discussions about its campaign performance and the lessons drawn from the election outcome.
