A rideshare driver will face court after being charged over the alleged sexual assault of a woman during an early morning trip in Melbourne.
Police said the woman entered the rideshare vehicle in Collingwood at about 5am on 25 January.
The driver, a 44-year-old man, allegedly sexually assaulted the passenger before dropping her in South Yarra.
The woman, who has not been identified, later reported the incident at a police station.
Victoria Police arrested the driver on Thursday.
He has been charged with one count of rape and two counts of sexual assault.
The man is due to face court.
