Michele Bullock will face MPs after the Reserve Bank lifted interest rates, reigniting debate over government spending and inflation.
Bullock and deputy governor Andrew Hauser will appear before a parliamentary committee in Canberra on Friday.
The hearing follows the Reserve Bank’s decision to lift the cash rate to 3.85%, the first increase in more than two years.
Opposition MPs have accused the federal government of driving inflation through rising spending.
Treasurer Jim Chalmers has come under pressure over the role of fiscal policy in the rate rise.
The central bank has maintained its focus on inflation control amid persistent cost pressures.
