High-profile Sydney woman Lanlan Yang has pleaded not guilty to two additional charges arising from a car crash in Sydney’s eastern suburbs last July.
The Downing Centre Local Court heard on Friday that the 23-year-old entered not guilty pleas to charges of dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm while under the influence, and driving with a middle-range prescribed concentration of alcohol.
The charges relate to a crash on 26 July on New South Head Road at Rose Bay, where a Rolls-Royce SUV allegedly driven by Yang collided with a Mercedes driven by George Plassaras. Plassaras sustained serious injuries.
Yang has already pleaded not guilty to four earlier charges, including refusing or failing to submit to a breath analysis, dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm, negligent driving, and failing to provide particulars to police.
The court was told Yang was excused from appearing in person for Friday’s hearing. Last week, she admitted to breaching bail conditions after failing to update her address, a matter that was resolved following a successful bail review application by her lawyer.
Prosecutors have requested six weeks to deal with the additional charges. The matter is scheduled to return to court in late March.
